Problem Note 60054: Model Comparison node does not assess results from an HP SVM node in MPP mode, a "does not exist ..." error might be displayed in the log

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When a SAS® High-Performance Data Mining flow is executed in a distributed environment (MPP),  the Model Comparison node might fail.   An error message similar to below is reported in the log of the Results:

10976  proc print data=EMWS16.MdlComp_EMOUTFIT noobs label;
ERROR: File EMWS16.MDLCOMP_EMOUTFIT.DATA does not exist.

Failure occurs when these conditions are true:

  • The flow contains an HP node that transforms variables (example: HP Impute or HP Transform node).
  • That node is followed by an HP SVM node and then a Model Comparison node.

If the Model Comparison node is preceded by another HP modeling node (example: HP Regression), then the Model Comparison node does not report an error.  However, the Model Comparison node does not report the assessment results for the HP SVM node.  The assessment results are reported for the other HP modeling node.

The problem does not exist if the flow is executed in SMP mode.
